George, the one with the beard, is an FFF Certified Fly Casting Instructor with over 40 years of fly fishing experience and combines this with 20 plus years of woodworking to create some new items for fly fishing.  He is a member of the Amer. Asso. of Woodturners, the Midland Woodworkers Asso., and past President of LPM Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
 
Jim, with the net, has been making nets and fly boxes for over 20 years with his signature carved trout inlay in each piece.  He is a past President of LPM Chapter of Trout Unlimited and has been a fly casting instructor for 20 years.
 
Fred has been carving for over 20 years and presents his work at wildlife shows throughout the year.  He has won a number of awards for his work and his work appears in various galleries and fly fishing shops in Michigan.  Fred just won the President's Award for best overall display at the Ohio Decoy Collectors Show (March 08)
 
The main focus of our business are items such as fly tying cases, unique zingers (retractors) and bookmarks, wader hangers, nets and fly boxes. We also carry wood carved items for the fly fishing person such as carved pins and carved trout.

We like to see natural wood and avoid the use of stains which hide the grain and figure of wood. Small knots and spalting add to the nature of wood and these are included when possible in our work. The carved and painted trout items try to match the natural beauty of these fish as closely as possible.

Company history
 
The partnership between the three craftsmen occurred about 3 years ago.  We had all been selling through fly fishing shops in the State and wanted to expand our business and provide these quality items more broadly and to have a good site for customers to connect to other informational fly fishing sites.   Be sure to check out our links and fishing reports pages.
